Prime Minister confirms that Iraq will continue to provide assistance that supports the steadfastness of the Lebanese people

    Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani confirmed today, Sunday, that Iraq will continue to provide assistance that supports the steadfastness of the Lebanese people
     
    The Prime Minister's media office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received the Lebanese Ambassador to Iraq, Ali al-Habhab, where he renewed his condolences to the Lebanese government and people, on the martyrdom of the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, may God have mercy on him."
     
    Al-Ssudani stressed, according to the statement, that "the firm and principled Iraqi position, alongside Lebanon in its ordeal, stems from the ties that bind the two brotherly peoples, and from the justice of the cause in which all Lebanese defend their land."
     
    The Prime Minister pointed out that "Iraq will continue to provide the necessary and humanitarian aid that supports the steadfastness of the Lebanese people, and it will continue to receive Lebanese citizens who were forced by circumstances to leave their country. Iraq will also continue its efforts in all international forums to support Lebanon's efforts and its international movements to stop the war, and to enhance the efforts of Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati on this path."
