The esteemed religious authority Sheikh Muhammad Al-Yaqoubi offered his heartfelt condolences on the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, articulating that "death quails before those of his stature."

In a profound statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Sheikh Al-Yaqoubi reflected, "Were it not for the Divine decree that all His servants must face death and the inevitability of mortality, as affirmed in the scripture {You will never find a change in the way of Allah}, and the promise that He shall elevate some of His servants to the rank of martyrs, the late martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah would be too illustrious for death to claim. Indeed, death trembles in the presence of such a figure, recognized for his unparalleled courage, unwavering steadfastness, indomitable spirit, and patient composure. His tranquility, sagacity, and sincere devotion to his Lord, Blessed and Exalted, culminated in the fulfillment of his aspirations as he departed this life as a martyr among a cadre of his noble companions."

He further articulated, "He ascended to the highest realms after founding an esteemed school for exemplary leaders dedicated to their nation, leaving a distinguished legacy of victories—not only upon the cherished soil of Lebanon but also across Syria, Iraq, and Palestine, where he demonstrated an unwavering commitment to stand alongside his brethren in repelling the scourge of terrorism and confronting its relentless onslaught."

Al-Yaqoubi continued, "He (May Allah have mercy on him) was among those exceptional leaders whose like is seldom found in history, serving as a beacon of pride and honor for Islam and its followers. He embodied an inspiring archetype that resonates with the world, exemplifying the true essence of Islam, which nurtures such valiant souls—not the materialistic ethos that breeds criminals and illusory heroes. His blessed presence emanated a message of solace to the free, the oppressed, and the disenfranchised, adorned with a compassionate and luminous smile."

The religious authority elaborated, "Thus, his admirers and those who recognize his admirable qualities are justified in their profound sorrow and anguish at his loss. Their only consolation lies in the knowledge that he has departed as a martyr on the sacred path of his revered ancestors (may peace be upon them all), transforming into an enduring symbol for all those who resolutely reject humiliation, subjugation, and servitude to anyone save Allah, the Blessed and Exalted."

He asserted, "I can confidently posit that even his adversaries, alongside his supporters, harbor respect and admiration for him, albeit concealed beneath a façade of enmity. They grieve his loss, despite any superficial jubilation they may project, for they have been deprived of a noble and wise opponent, a steadfast proponent of the humanitarian ideals that have long eluded the so-called civilized world. He was a figure who neither betrayed nor deceived, nor engaged in acts of violence or falsehood, irrespective of the relentless pressures imposed by the vicissitudes of life and the temptation to resort to unscrupulous tactics in the pursuit of self-interest."

He emphasized that "Sayyed Nasrallah merits not merely elegies and lamentations; rather, he deserves exalted praise, a comprehensive account of his illustrious achievements, and the celebration of his profound contributions, which should be meticulously documented as a guide for those who earnestly strive to establish social justice for the welfare of all."

He concluded, "In our collective mourning for the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his pure family) and the trials faced by his noble lineage (may peace be upon them all), and the exalted status conferred upon martyrs, we discover solace and comfort. For the nation requires, at critical junctures, the sacrifice of pure and sanctified blood to awaken, uplift, and liberate itself, enabling the extraordinary to testify through their blood that faith in Allah is authentic, deserving of sacrifice, and fulfilling the covenant established with Allah, the Blessed and Exalted."
