The Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed today, Friday, Tunisia’s decision to cancel the requirement to obtain an entry visa for Iraqis
A statement from the ministry received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said: It "expresses its welcome of the Tunisian government's decision to cancel the entry visa requirement to Tunisia for Iraqi citizens."
"This decision comes in line with the outcomes of the meetings of the joint Iraqi-Tunisian committee, whose work was held at its seventeenth session in Baghdad on May 12, 2024."
According to the statement “The decision will allow Iraqi citizens to enter Tunisian territory without the need to obtain a prior visa, within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations between Iraq and Tunisia and encouraging tourism and commercial exchange between the two countries. It is expected that this decision will contribute to increasing the number of Iraqi tourists to Tunisia, in addition to enhancing economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.”
