Al-Sudani instructs to diligently ensure the unrestricted voting choices of service members during the special vote

    Iraqi Prime Minster Mohammed S. Al-Sudani, has instructed all military and security commanders, as well as directors of all security services, to diligently ensure the unrestricted voting choices of service members during the special vote.
     
    The Spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Force Major General Special Forces Yehia Rasool said in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency-INA,"To safeguard the integrity of the electoral process and shield it from any interference, Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Mohammed S. Al-Sudani, has instructed all military and security commanders, as well as directors of all security services, to diligently ensure the unrestricted voting choices of service members during the special vote. They are directed not to interfere in any manner with their election choices”.
     
    “PM Al-Sudani also mandated the prohibition of any gesture or indication that service members might interpret as electoral directives. His Excellency emphasized the utmost vigilance and supervision to address any instances of interference in election choices or attempts to link security institution with specific electoral preferences," the statement added.

    The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces emphasized the significance of the unrestricted voting rights of service members, as citizens whose constitutional and legal rights to political freedom are safeguarded. He underscored the protection of these rights against any form of pressure or attempts to influence that deviate from their own desires and choices.
