The President of the Federal Supreme Court, Judge Jassim Mohammed Aboud Al-Amiri and Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein discussed, on Thursday, the development of constitutional relations between the Federal Court and the Arab and international courts and constitutional councils.
A statement by the Federal Court received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said that "the President of the Federal Supreme Court, Judge Jassim Mohammed Aboud Al-Amiri, received Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein today."
The statement added that "during the meeting, they discussed the development of constitutional relations between the Federal Supreme Court and the Arab and international constitutional courts and councils, in order to consolidate the principles of democracy in the light of international humanitarian frameworks, and in a way that leads to the preservation of civil and political rights and freedoms, to ensure the participation of all citizens, men and women, in public affairs and enjoy political rights, including the right to vote, vote and nominate to entrench the principle of the rule of law and apply the peaceful transfer of power.”
