Rashid: The countries participating in the Water Conference have shown tangible interest in helping Iraq

    President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid said on Wednesday that the countries participating in the water conference showed tangible interest in helping Iraq.
     
    A statement by the Presidency of the Republic received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said that "the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today at Baghdad Palace, National Security Adviser Qassim Al-Araji," noting that "the meeting discussed the latest developments in the security arena, and stressed the importance of enhancing stability to ensure the safety of citizens and support the wheel of economic progress in the country."
     
    The statement added that "during the meeting, they also discussed the return of the displaced to their areas of residence, and the resolution of this humanitarian file by rehabilitating their areas and rebuilding infrastructure."
     
    The President of the Republic reviewed "his participation in the United Nations Water Conference and its great importance in addressing the global water crisis and finding radical solutions to it," stressing that "the United Nations and the participating countries have shown tangible interest in helping Iraq solve water problems."
     
     
    For his part, the national security adviser reviewed "security developments in the country and plans to consolidate security and stability and maintain the security of citizens," pointing to "the importance of intensifying security and intelligence work in monitoring borders and exerting efforts to preserve the security and interests of the people and the country."
