Prime Minister Muhammed S. Al-Sudani stressed the importance of strengthening civil peace and encouraging the discourse of unity.
"PM Al-Sudani, received the head of the Iraqi Fatwa House, Mahdi al-Sumaidae,” said the media office of the Prime Minister, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency – INA.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed "the importance of strengthening civil peace and encouraging the discourse of unity and harmony among the various spectrums of the Iraqi people," appreciating "the responsible role played by preachers and imams of mosques in the blessed month of Ramadan, by spreading the concepts of tolerance and coexistence among the people of Iraq, the one homeland of different religions. Iraq is the unifying identity of all Iraqis.”
