Iraq calls for strengthening cooperation with the Czech Republic in economy, investment

    Deputy Speaker of Parliament Muhsin Al-Mandalawi called for more cooperation between Iraq and the Czech Republic, especially in the economic, investment, trade and energy fields, and the implementation of the provisions of joint agreements between the two countries to achieve the interests of the people.

    Al-Mandalawi discussed, during his reception in his office, the Ambassador to Iraq Mr Petr Štěpánek, and his accompanying delegation, enhancing prospects for joint cooperation between the two countries, and exchanging visits at the two levels, legislative and executive, as well as the possibility of entry of Czech companies to contribute to development projects, according to a statement by the media office of the Deputy Speaker of Parliament received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    The Deputy Speaker stressed "the necessity of resuming the meetings of the joint committee, following up the implementation of the minutes items of the third session for its meetings, related to economic, scientific and cultural cooperation, in addition to facilitating entry procedures for Iraqi businessmen with the aim of contributing to increasing the volume of trade exchange in proportion to the economic capabilities between the two countries."
