President Rashid receives an official invitation to visit Iran

    The President of the Republic, Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, received on Sunday, a written message from the President  of Iran, Ibrahim Raisi, which included his invitation to visit Iran.

    The Presidency of the Republic said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the President of the Republic, Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, received today Sunday, at the Baghdad Palace, the Iranian ambassador to Iraq, Muhammad Kazem Al Sadiq, and his accompanying delegation," noting that "the ambassador handed  the president a written message from President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi included his invitation to visit Iran."

    The President of the Republic expressed his thanks and pride in the kind invitation, stressing that it would be answered at the earliest opportunity.

    He expressed his happiness at "the joint agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to resume relations between them," expressing his hope for "more positive developments at the regional and international levels."

    He stressed "the importance of cooperation and joint coordination between the two countries in a way that consolidates security and stability in the region, and the need for serious work to end conflicts and achieve global peace and security."

    The Iranian ambassador expressed thanks and appreciation for Iraq's efforts in hosting the dialogue rounds, and their importance in reaching a joint agreement to resume relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

    He stressed, "Iran's keenness and desire to continue joint cooperation with Iraq."
