The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today, Sunday, the arrival of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, at the head of a high-ranking delegation, to Baghdad on an official visit.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Al-Sahaf, said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived in Baghdad on an official visit, during which he will meet the three presidencies, and discuss with his counterpart, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein, means of support bilateral relations.”
"The Russian minister's visit comes at the head of a high-ranking delegation that includes 25 media outlets and major companies in the fields of oil and gas." According to the statement.
