Rashid stresses improving services and rehabilitating infrastructure in Kirkuk

    INA-  BAGHDAD

    President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed Wednesday the need to improve the services and rehabilitate the infrastructure in Kirkuk Governorate.

    A statement by the Media Office of the Presidency of the Republic, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received at the Baghdad Palace a Kurdish tribal delegation from the people of Kirkuk Governorate."

    During the meeting, the President of the Republic stressed that "the city of Kirkuk is of special importance, and it suffered from injustice, persecution and deprivation during the time of the former regime," stressing "the need to improve the status of services and rehabilitate the infrastructure in order to meet the demands of the city's people."

    The statement indicated, "During the meeting, they discussed the reality of the city and the importance of starting vital projects in it and developing urban facilities, while the members of the delegation reviewed the obstacles facing them and the people of Kirkuk."
