Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita affirmed Saturday, that the Kingdom of Morocco supports the unity and sovereignty of Iraq.
Bourita said during a press conference with Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, which was attended by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "This visit is historic in that it is the first visit of a Moroccan foreign minister and government official for a long time, in addition to that it will witness the opening of the Moroccan embassy in Baghdad, which was closed 18 years ago, It is an important sign of Morocco's confidence in the new Iraq."
"This visit reflects the Kingdom's vision of strengthening relations between the two countries in all trade and economic fields, exchanging visits and experiences between the two parties, combating extremism and enhancing security cooperation," he added.
He pointed out that "Iraq has entered a new stage of development and that the Kingdom is supportive of the unity and sovereignty of Iraq," expressing his "admiration for Iraq's success in organizing the Gulf Cup 25."
