Iraq and France signed memorandums of understanding in the fields of medical research, archeology and diplomatic development.
The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Iraq and France signed today a number of memorandums of understanding in the capital, Paris, within the framework of the official visit that the Prime Minister, Mr. Muhammad S. Al-Sudani, is conducting to France.".
The statement added, "A memorandum of understanding was signed to establish a center for medical and scientific research at the University of Mosul, linked to scientific research centers in France, and a French grant.".
He pointed out, "A bilateral memorandum of understanding was signed within the framework of the Iraqi-French declaration for the protection of antiquities and heritage, which includes providing expertise and technical and scientific support in order to preserve and protect Iraqi antiquities.".
The statement continued, "Another memorandum of understanding was signed related to diplomatic development, exchange of experiences, training programs, and partnership within the framework of managing international relations and work in diplomatic missions."
