A spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, announced today, Friday, a temporary suspension of consular work at the Iraqi Embassy in Ukraine as a result of the military escalation.
Al-Sahhaf said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The consular work has been temporarily suspended at the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Ukraine, due to the recent military escalation there.".
He added, "This step comes to preserve the lives of the honorable Iraqi community."
