The Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammed S. Al-Sudani, stressed on Wednesday, monitoring the movements of Daesh gangs and preventing their attempts to find loopholes in cities.
Al-Sudani chaired a meeting of the Ministerial Council for National Security discussing the latest developments and the most important challenges, says the spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yehia Rasool, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency – INA.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces stressed “the importance of following up on the movements of Daesh terrorist gangs and preventing their attempts to find loopholes in safe cities and villages. He urged creating a spirit of surprise among the security forces at the security and intelligence level.”
Rasool included, "The council affirmed readiness to face threats and challenges in the next stage. There is a need to work to achieve the interest of the Iraqi individual and the stability of national security."
During the meeting, the need to define international understandings and relations, on the basis of national interest and national security stability, was highlighted.
“The meeting also included discussing strengthening the security of the Iraqi-Syrian borders, as well as other topics on the agenda and taking appropriate decisions and directives in their regard,” said Rasool.
