Abdullah: Iraq looks forward to strengthen cooperation with friendly countries

    Deputy Speaker of parliament Shakhwan Abdullah affirmed on Wednesday Iraq's aspiration to strengthen cooperation mechanisms and establish economic partnerships with friendly countries.
     
    The media office of the Deputy Speaker of parliament said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Abdullah, visited the headquarters of the British Embassy in Baghdad at an invitation, and was received by the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Iraq Mark Bryson Richardson with the embassy staff."
     
    It explained that "the invitation was in honor of Baroness Emma Nicholson, President of the Iraqi-British Business Council, in the presence of a number of businessmen, and the parties talked about the political and security situation in the Iraqi arena and the work of the parliament in its current term, as well as the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation between Iraq and Britain in order to consolidate bilateral relations to serve the common interests of the two friendly countries."
     
    The Deputy Speaker of parliament pointed out that "Iraq is looking forward to strengthen cooperation mechanisms and establish economic partnerships with friendly countries, especially as there is a new phase of reconstruction and prosperity and the implementation of strategic projects in all governorates of Iraq, which requires continuous coordination with partners."
