PM Receives the Emir of the Yazidis in Iraq and the World

The media office of the Prime Minister stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “Prime Minister Mr. Mohammed S. Al-Sudani, received today the Emir of the Yazidis in Iraq and the world, Mr. Hazim Tahsin Beg, and his accompanying delegation, which included representatives of the Yazidi component in Parliament and several sheikhs and notables.
 
During the meeting, His Excellency expressed his considerable appreciation for this beloved component of Iraqi society for its great sacrifices, stressing the government's keenness to preserve the cultural and social diversity of the Iraqi people, which is an element of strength, cohesion, and solidarity. According to the statement.
 
Al-Sudani explained that the reconstruction of Sinjar and the Nineveh Plain are among the government's main goals, noting that reconstruction and providing public services will contribute to establishing stability in the region.
 
Emir Hazim Tahsin Beg conveyed to the Prime Minister the thanks of the Yazidis for granting them property rights of lands in Sinjar after decades of suffering. The delegation invited Prime Minister to visit Sinjar and Lalish Temple, and His Excellency promised to visit soon.
