Rashid stresses the need for dialogue to resolve outstanding issues between the federal government and Kurdistan region

President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid stressed the need for dialogue to resolve outstanding issues between the federal government and the region.
 
 
A statement by the Presidency of the Republic, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said: "The President of the Republic received, at the Baghdad Palace, the delegation of the Parliament of the Kurdistan region, and the meeting discussed political developments in the country, including the Kurdistan region."
The President of the Republic spoke about his vision of the importance of concerted efforts and unifying visions to face the common challenges facing the country, pointing to "the need for effective dialogue in order to resolve outstanding issues between the federal government and the Kurdistan region in accordance with the constitution and the law and in a manner that protects the interests of citizens."
The president stressed, according to the statement, the importance of approving the country's general financial budget because of its impact on the lives of citizens, and starting construction and reconstruction operations and basic infrastructure, noting the "ambitious ministerial program of the government and the need to implement it, especially the items directly related to the requirements of citizens in improving living conditions and services."
The President of the Republic pointed to "the necessity of continuing coordination and dialogue between the Kurdish political parties, and starting from the important joint ventures in developing the interests of citizens in the region and the whole country during the dialogue."
