Parliament Speaker, Muhammad al-Halbousi, and the Special Adviser and Head of the United Nations Investigation Team, Christian Ritscher, discussed means to enhance accountability for crimes committed by ISIS terrorist gangs.
The media office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that "The Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, received the Special Adviser and the head of the United Nations investigation team to promote accountability for crimes committed by ISIS (UNITAD), Christian Ritscher."
The statement added, "Al-Halbousi listened to a brief explanation about the developments in the work of the investigation team, and discussed the most important ways to enhance accountability for crimes committed by the terrorist ISIS, and consider it crimes against humanity according to international standards."
