The Joint Operations Command-JOC and the US Central Command-CENTCOM confirmed on Monday, continuing the cooperation efforts in the field of combating terrorism and pursuing the members of ISIS terrorist gangs.
“JOC Deputy Commander, Lieutenant General Qais Al-Muhammadawi, met with Gen. Michael E. Corella the commander of US Central Command," said the Security Media Cell-SMC in a statement, received by the Iraqi news agency –INA.
The statement added "Both sides discussed a number of issues of common interest, including intensifying coordination and cooperation between the Iraqi security forces and the advisors of the international coalition within the frameworks and outcomes of the strategic dialogue in terms of training, capacity building, consultation, equipment maintenance and exchanging information”.
The statement continued, "They also emphasized that efforts to combat terrorism and pursue ISIS elements will continue to ensure to ensure that they do not return again," noting that "the two sides discussed the latest victories over terrorism, destroying its hideouts, and providing the appropriate environment for the security work."
