Al-Sudani assures Sisi of Iraq's keenness to maintain relations with its Arab and regional milieu

    Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani affirmed, today, Thursday, Iraq's keenness to maintain relations with its Arab and regional surroundings.

    The media office of the Prime Minister stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Sudani met this evening, Thursday, the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, on the sidelines of Al-Sudani's participation in the Arab-Chinese summit, which is hosted by the Saudi capital, Riyadh.".

    He added, "During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and prospects for joint cooperation at various levels and levels. The meeting also witnessed deliberations on a number of regional and international issues of common concern.".

    Al-Sudani stressed, according to the statement, "Iraq's keenness to maintain relations with its Arab and regional surroundings, and to open horizons for economic cooperation in everything that would enhance the relentless efforts aimed at achieving the interests of the two brotherly peoples and the rest of the peoples of the region.".

    For his part, the Egyptian President affirmed Egypt's aspiration to consolidate the course of bilateral relations towards more cooperation and integration in the economic and development fields, pointing to Iraq's pioneering role in the region and its efforts to strengthen the foundations of security and stability, in a way that contributes to the prosperity of its peoples.
