Al-Mandalawi stresses the importance of joint security coordination between Iraq and Syria to defeat the remnants of terrorism

    The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, stressed today, Monday, the importance of joint security coordination between Iraq and Syria to defeat the remnants of terrorism.
    The media office of the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Mohsen al-Mandalawi, the first deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, received in his office the Syrian ambassador to Iraq, Sattam Jadaan al-Dahdah and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of a number of deputies."
      Mandalawi stressed, according to the statement: "The importance of activating the parliamentary friendship committees between the two countries, strengthening bilateral relations, and developing it to include many fields, foremost of which is economic, cultural, security, and trade cooperation."
      "Iraq and Syria have suffered from terrorism, and this threat continues to threaten their security and the security of the whole world, and this calls for the necessity of joint coordination in the field of combating terrorism, in a way that enhances the security of the two countries and the stability of the region." Mandalawi said.
