The British Ambassador to Baghdad, Mark Bryson Richardson, confirmed today, Monday, the United Kingdom's support for Iraq and the government of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani.
The media office of the National Security Adviser said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the National Security Adviser, Qasim Al-Araji, received in his office the British ambassador to Baghdad, Mark Bryson Richardson," noting that the " the meeting witnessed, reviewing the latest developments in the political situation." and security in the region, and to discuss means to strengthen relations between Iraq and the United Kingdom.
The statement added, "Al-Araji discussed with the British ambassador the file of the Syrian al-Hol camp and the importance of the international community's cooperation to end this file, as well as discussing the continued support of the international coalition for Iraq in fighting terrorism and benefiting from information and air support in this field."
The British ambassador confirmed, according to the statement, "the United Kingdom's support for Iraq and the Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani," expressing "their readiness for full and comprehensive cooperation."
