The National Security undersecretaries Council discussed today, Tuesday, the file of the infiltration of foreigners across the border, while directing the preparation of a study specifying the requirements for securing it.
A statement issued by the media office of the National Security Adviser, Qasim al-Araji, said that he "presided over a new meeting of the Council with the presence of its members, discussed the topics on its agenda, and the necessary decisions and recommendations were taken on these issues."
"The council discussed the issue of the infiltration of foreigners across the border informally, and directed the relevant authorities to activate and follow up on the implementation of the recommendations related to the topic of research presented in this session, and to present a periodic table of the measures taken in this regard." According to the statement.
The meeting emphasized the preparation of an integrated study on the issue of border protection and its security requirements, and the identification of problems and obstacles facing this dangerous security file, to reduce potential threats and risks.
The National Security undersecretaries Council also agreed, according to the statement, to conclude a memorandum of understanding in the field of civil protection and civil defense between the Iraqi and Tunisian Ministries of Interior.
