The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, received on Sunday, a written message from French President Emmanuel Macron.
The media office of the President's Office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "At the beginning of the meeting, the French Ambassador, Eric Chevalier conveyed President Macron's greetings to President Salih, and he also delivered a written message from France's Macron to Salih."
The message included France's desire to promote a bilateral relationship with Iraq and how best to boost Iraqi-French cooperation at every level, in the ways that would most benefit the two nations' citizens.
It also stated that France will continue to be an unwavering partner to support a secure and stable Iraq

Iraq-France friendship relations were discussed during the meeting, with a focus on the need to strengthen these ties across all sectors.
The meeting emphasized the importance of having further cooperation and coordination to face the global challenges, chiefly in terms of counter-terrorism and political, economic, trade, cultural, and environmental cooperation
