The Lebanese government decided to exempt Iraqis from obtaining an entry visa to Lebanon.
According to a document followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "with the aim of activating cooperation with the Republic of Iraq, the Lebanese Council of Ministers approved the request of the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities regarding exempting Iraqis from the need to obtain a visa to enter its territory."
The document added that "a decision was issued to grant Iraqis who wish to come to Lebanon a free entry and residence visa for a period of one month, extendable up to three months, for nationals coming for tourism."
"Iraq has been written off from the article related to the arrivals' possession of two thousand dollars in cash or a certified check from a well-known bank, as a prerequisite for entry to Lebanese territory, after informing and agreeing to the President of the Republic, Michel Aoun . "
