Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein and French Ambassador to Iraq Eric Chevalier discussed, today, Tuesday, the holding of the upcoming Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement, that "Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein received, today, the French ambassador to Iraq, Eric Chevalier."
The statement added, "During the meeting, they discussed issues of common interest and what contributes to strengthening bilateral relations between Iraq and France, most notably the holding of the upcoming Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership with the support of France, to discuss regional and international challenges, achieve common interests, and emphasize Iraq's vital role in laying the foundations for security and stability." in the region."
He added, "The meeting dealt with coordinating positions between Iraq and France on international and regional issues, during the upcoming meetings of the United Nations General Assembly at its seventy-seventh session."
