The New Generation: The number of detainees in connection with the demonstrations in Kurdistan has reached 600 people

    The New Generation bloc counted today, Sunday, the number of detainees in connection with the demonstrations in the Kurdistan region, while indicating that the demonstrations will continue until all demands are met.
     
    The head of the bloc, Sarwa Abdel Wahid, said in a press conference held today with the participation of a number of representatives of the Emtidad of the parliamentary bloc, which was attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "there was a call for popular demonstrations to demand a Drop in commodity prices and a reduction in taxes," noting that "the new generation bloc of Supporting the demands of the people from Basra to the region.
     
    She added that "the authority in the region suppressed the demonstrations and did not allow the protest, despite its peaceful nature," noting that "the number of detainees reached 600 in the cities of the Kurdistan region."
     
    And she added, "The representatives of the bloc were arrested in Erbil and did not allow one of the female deputies to leave the house, in addition to the arrest of Representative Vian Abdel Aziz and the representatives of the new generation in Sulaymaniyah and the presidential candidate from the bloc."
     
    And she added, "The New Generation bloc rejects the abuses and will continue with the demonstrations until the demands of the people in the Kurdistan region are met."
