Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi called on Wednesday, on the protesters to maintain a peaceful demonstration, while instructing the Parliament’s General Secretariat to attend and communicate with them.
Al-Halbousi also directed the Parliament’s protection forces not to attack or harm the protesters, and not to carry weapons inside the Parliament, as well as directing the General Secretariat to attend and communicating with the protesters,” said Al-Halbousi’s media office in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency – INA.
He directed, according to the statement Parliament's health center staff to attend for any emergency cases.
