Security Media Cell announced Thursday that a cache of ammunition had been found in Alas area in the Hamrin Mountains.
The cell stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "as part of the preemptive activities of the Salah al-Din Operations Command, a force from the Fourth Regiment, the Commandos Brigade, carried out an inspection and purification operation in the Hamrin Mountains, Alas region, from the remnants of ISIS terrorist gangs."
The cell added, "The force found a stack of various types of equipment, pointing out that "the materials were moved to a safe place and detonated under control without incident."
