The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hakim Al-Zamili, stressed today, Monday, the need to control the common borders to ensure the prevention of oil smuggling and terrorist infiltration.
The media office of the first deputy speaker of the parliament said in a statement , that "the first deputy speaker of the parliament, Hakim al-Zamili, received in his office today, Monday, the Syrian ambassador to Iraq, Sattam al-Dandanh, in the presence of Representative Ahmed al-Zamili," noting that " The latest developments and files of common interest were discussed.
Al-Zamili stressed "the need to raise the level of security coordination between the two countries, especially in controlling and monitoring the common borders to ensure that terrorist gangs do not infiltrate, limit oil smuggling and work to take the necessary procedures in this regard," calling for "the importance of exchanging intelligence information about the movements of terrorist cells." Especially in the soft areas where it is active between the two countries.
Al-Zamili agreed with the Syrian ambassador on the "importance of investing in the current balanced political relations to move towards strengthening investment in the field of agriculture, industry and revitalizing the commercial movement to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples."
