Intensive governmental efforts to facilitate the entry of foodstuffs through five border-crossings

The Government Media Cell announced on Tuesday, that the government mobilized all its efforts to facilitate the entry of foodstuffs through border-crossings.
 
 
The cell said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that it " The government continues to intensify its effort to keep pace with the latest measures taken regarding supplying local markets with the necessary food and agricultural materials, in a manner that meets the citizens' needs of basic materials, and to address strategic storage to confront the high prices, in coordination and joint cooperation between the ministries of (Agriculture, Trade, Interior, Border Ports Authority, and the General Authority of Customs).

The statement added, "This comes based on what was stated in Cabinet decisions (70, 72, and 80 for the year 2022), which included decisions that support the Iraqi citizen and meet his needs of basic foodstuffs," explaining that "the Border Ports Authority continues to work around the clock; to secure the entry of agricultural and food stuffs through the border crossings (Shalamcheh in Basra Governorate, Al-Sheeb in Maysan Governorate, Trebil in Anbar Governorate, Zurbatiya in Wasit Governorate, Mandali and Al-Mandhiriya in Diyala Governorate), in joint coordination with the General Authority of Customs ".
