E-governance program achievements, statistics included

    General Secretariat of the Cabinet revealed on Wednesday, the procedures details for implementing the digital transformation project, confirming the e-circulation of 75.000 documents since the e-governance program kicked off.
     
    "The Cabinet General Secretariat is continuing to develop the e-governance program, as it is a vital and important program, and work is ongoing in several stages," said the spokesman for the General Secretariat, Haider Majeed, to the Iraqi News Agency – INA, noting that "the e-linking phase of the management program of e-documents has been completed between the General Secretariat of the Cabinet and all ministries, through a secure government network,”
     
    He explained, "This program was prepared for the electronic circulation of official documents, after they were circulated manually and took a long time, as it eliminates bureaucracy," stressing that "the number of circulated documents has reached 75.000 documents since the launch of the program in September 2021,”
     
    “The e-governance program has launched the Ur e-gate via the National Data Center, which has so far provided 89 e-government services to citizens," he noted, adding that "this service was divided into several sections as 6 services for loans, money and taxes, two services for special needs, 19 services for education and learning, 3 service for health and environment services, 4 services for electricity, career, science and technology services, 20 for Justice, law and grievance services, 11 for Business service and self-employed, 5 for Citizenship and personal status service, 10 for Transportation, infrastructure services and housing, 9 services for youth, sports and culture, in addition to a number of other services,”

    Majid pointed out that, "The latest programs that launched (Raqbni / Watch me) program, which was achieved in coordination with the staff of the Ministry of Commerce. It is concerned with receiving citizens’ proposals and complaints regarding the food basket, as well as complaints against the food ration agents in terms of any recorded violations, as many complaints and suggestions were received where the Ministry followed-up and held violators accountable,”
     
    "The Center launched the (Salamat) application as well, which was achieved in coordination with the staff of the Ministry of Health, allowing citizens to receive PCR test results electronically, without the need to review health centers, and this application will also allow the Supreme Committee of National Health and Safety in addition to the Ministry of Health to periodically monitor the epidemiological situation,” he included.
     
    He stressed, "The National Data Center continues to develop e-programs that provide services to citizens, which will reduce the burden by reviewing government departments and institutions, as it will contribute to accelerating the transactions completion and eliminating cases of financial and administrative corruption,”
