Iraq participates in Dubai Expo 2020

    Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research via its public and private universities participated in the activities of (Expo 2020 Dubai) held in the United Arab Emirates.

    The Ministry participated in the activities of the (Expo 2020 Dubai) where the Iraqi delegation, headed by the Department of Construction and Projects, included a number of directors and representatives of departments in the ministry, head and representatives of the universities of Mosul, Qadisiyah, Diyala, Northern Technology, Nineveh and Fallujah, and a group of presidents and representatives of universities and deans of private colleges, according to the Ministry’s statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

    The participants reviewed projects for developing infrastructure for universities and the prospects for investment in educational and service fields, including university educational hospital projects, the establishment of residential complexes and internal departments, the establishment of sports cities, central medical laboratories, a stem cell treatment center, and the establishment of specialized technological incubators, in addition to agricultural and livestock projects.

    The Iraqi pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, which is dedicated to higher education and Iraqi universities for a period of (11-17 March), received intensive visits to get a brief overview on the landmarks of Iraq's cultural heritage that were distributed in the corridors of the pavilion and to preview university projects presented to companies and visitors from different worldwide nationalities.
