Cabinet’s Secretary-General stresses importance of developing the nursing aspect

      Cabinet Secretary-General Hamid Naeem al-Ghizi stressed on Thursday the importance of developing the nursing aspect as an important pillar of the health system.
     
    "During his reception with members of the Iraqi Nursing Association, al-Ghizi praised the sacrifices made by this group during the crises, most notably the war on terrorism and the response to the Corona pandemic," the Cabinet Secretariat said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA). 
     
    "The need for coordination between the union and the relevant authorities," al-Ghizi said, stressing "the importance of developing the nursing aspect as an important pillar of the health system."


    "The government has supported efforts to pass nursing law No. 8 of 2020, which provides an incentive for this group to do more, especially since its work is directly linked to citizens," he said.


    According to the statement, the Secretary-General of the cabinet called on "the leadership and members of the union to open the horizon of cooperation with various institutions, to organize and manage the affairs of workers in this field, defend their rights, develop their knowledge and skilled potential, and improve their economic and social levels, to reflect positively on the health services in the country."
