Iraq supports Lebanon's judges with financial donations to overcome economic crisis

    The Lebanese Ministry of Justice announced today, Sunday, that Iraqi judges have donated sums of money to their Lebanese counterparts to overcome the economic crisis, while considering this step an expression of brotherhood between the two countries. 

     

    "A judicial delegation that included Chief Public Prosecutor Najm Abdullah, member of the Federal Supreme Court Haider Ali Nuri and the head of the Judicial Supervision Authority, Muslim Miteb, visited the Lebanese capital Beirut and met the Lebanese Minister of Justice Henry Khoury and the President of the Supreme Judicial Council in Lebanon Suhail Abboud and a number of judges. The reporter of Iraqi News Agency (INA) said.

     

    He added, "The delegation handed over to the Lebanese side a sum that some judges in Iraq donated to their colleagues in Lebanon in solidarity with them to overcome the economic crisis that the Lebanese people are suffering from.”

     

    The Lebanese Minister of Justice, Henry Khoury, confirmed to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "the importance of this step, which expresses sympathy and brotherhood between the two peoples and the two brotherly countries," noting that "this assistance falls within the individual endeavors of members of the Iraqi judicial body who took an initiative on their own to stand up with the members of the Lebanese judicial body.
