PM and Turkish ambassador stress prevention terrorism from threatening the security of Iraq and region

    Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi and Turkish Ambassador to Iraq Ali Reza Guney affirmed the prevention of terrorism from threatening the security of Iraq and the region.
    The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Prime Minister Mustafa Al- Kadhimi, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Iraq, Ali Reza Guney, and his accompanying delegation," noting that "during the meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed." And aspects of cooperation in various fields, especially the economic aspect and trade exchange, as well as cooperation in the security field, and the emphasis on preventing terrorist groups from threatening the security of Iraq and the stability of the region.
    The Prime Minister stressed, according to the statement, that "the Iraqi forces are making great efforts to pursue the remnants of terrorism and destroy it, which will support regional stability and open the way for sustainable development for the peoples of the region."
    For his part, the Turkish ambassador conveyed the greetings of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Al-Kadhimi, stressing "Turkey's support for Iraq's efforts in its war on terrorism, as well as strengthening the diplomatic and reform steps adopted by the Iraqi government."
