Iraq and Lebanon stress the need to strengthen bilateral relations

President of the Republic of Iraq, Barham Salih, and the Lebanese Minister of Justice, Henry Khoury, stressed on Saturday, the need to strengthen bilateral relations between Iraq and Lebanon in various fields. 

Salih received the Lebanese Minister of Justice at the Peace Palace in the capital, Baghdad, and the meeting stressed the importance of Iraqi-Lebanese relations, and the need to strengthen it in various fields, exchange experiences in various sectors and activate the understandings and agreements concluded between the two sides as well as, cooperation and coordination in the judicial and legal fields, in addition to the support for everything that serves the common interests of the two peoples, included a statement by the media office of the Presidency of the Republic, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA). 

For his part, Khoury appreciated "Iraq's supportive stance for the Lebanese people, as well as standing by Lebanon in various crises and challenges," stressing "Lebanon's commitment to Iraq's security and stability, returning it to its pivotal role and supporting its efforts to establish peace in the region,”
