MOFA: Governmental measures to prosecute the targets of diplomatic missions 

 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs categorically condemned any action considered destabilizing the security and stability of Iraq .  

 A statement by the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that it "categorically condemns any action that is destabilizing the security and stability of Iraq, especially the missile targeting of the Green Zone in the capital, Baghdad, yesterday." 

The Ministry added, "We renew our commitment to providing security and protection for diplomatic missions and adopting all guarantees to facilitate their work in accordance with what is stipulated in international conventions, stressing the Iraqi government's measures to prosecute and punish the perpetrators in accordance with the law.". 

The Ministry also pointed out that "the security and stability of Iraq is not an option, but an inevitable path that reflects the presence of the state with its institutions and the security of its society."
