President of the Republic Barham Salih stressed on Wednesday, that the security and stability of Iraq is an indispensable element for the region.
"Salih received today at the Peace Palace in Baghdad the British Ambassador to Iraq Mark Bryson Richardson, and they discussed bilateral relations that unite the two countries and the importance of working to strengthen them in various fields, cooperation and coordination between the two countries in a manner that serves local and regional peace and stability," the Presidency of the Republic stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The President pointed out, according to the statement, "the need to enhance security and stability in the region, ease its tensions, and support paths of dialogue and convergence,"
He stressed, "the importance of the pivotal Iraqi role in this," noting that "the security, stability and sovereignty of Iraq is an indispensable element for the region,"
