Al-Fayyad: Al-Sistani protected Iraq from dangers

The head of the Popular Mobilization Forces, Faleh al-Fayyad, said today, Saturday, that the ruling (fatwa) of the religious reference for Sufficiency Jihad contributed to the unity of Iraq and the expulsion of terrorism, stressing that Al-Sistani's stances protected Iraq from dangers.
 
During his speech at march that took place today in central Baghdad to commemorate the anniversary of the martyrdom of the victory leaders, Al-Fayyad indicated that " Foreign forces withdrawal is not an emotional position, but rather it is to protect Iraq and its sovereignty, and any foreign presence on the land of Iraq will not be a beneficial factor for Iraqi people," calling on the government to carry out its duty to free Iraq from the foreign forces."
 
He continued: "Sovereignty and dignity are the right of the Iraqi people, who possess all the elements of sovereignty and determination to build the future of Iraq. Therefore, all the Iraqi people and their political forces must do their duty to preserve the trust, complete the construction project, and get out of any political obstruction by relying on God and the capabilities of our people".
 
It’s to be mentioned that large demonstrations began today, Saturday in the capital, Baghdad, to mark the martyrdom of the victory leaders, while the participants condemned the crime that targeted them near Baghdad airport in January 2020.
