AL-Sadr: Corruption in Najaf municipality needs a serious stance

Sadrist leader Moqtada al- Sadr on Wednesday stressed the need for a serious stance to solve corruption problems in Najaf' municipality.
 
"Our visit to the municipality of Najaf came after news of corruption, inaction, shortcomings and in this institution," Al- Sadr said in a speech during his visit to Najaf municipality, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
"He is ready to receive complaints about corruption in this institution and develop its work," Al-Sadr said, stressing the need for "a serious stance to solve the problems of corruption in the municipality."

"Anyone who has a corruption file sends it to us and we will deliver it to the highest ranks of the country, and if you do not do its duty, the higher ranks will be held accountable, it is shameful that there is corruption in Najaf province," he said.
 
"We will work to dismiss the governor of Najaf and replace him," Al-Sadr said.
