Russia is ready to support Iraq in all fields

  The Russian Ambassador to Iraq, Elbrus Kutrashev, expressed his country's readiness to stand by Iraq and support it in all fields.

The political body of the Sadrist movement stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the head of the authority, Ahmed Al-Mutairi, received today, Tuesday, December 21, 2021, the Russian ambassador to Iraq, Elbrus Kutrashev, at the authority's headquarters in the capital, Baghdad". 

Al-Mutairi welcomed the visit of the Russian ambassador, expressing his hope to develop opportunities for joint cooperation and clear the way for more coordination in a way that meets the aspirations of the two friendly peoples. 

The two sides discussed "ways to raise the level of relations between the two countries," stressing "the importance of expanding the frameworks of bilateral understandings at all levels". 

In turn, the Russian ambassador expressed his "pride in visiting the political body of the Sadrist movement and meeting its president, Ahmed Al-Mutairi," expressing "his country's readiness to stand by Iraq and support and assist it in all fields".
