The Iraqi Ministry of Culture announced on Thursday, that Iraq has won the position of Vice-President of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
The ministry said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "The delegation of Iraq, headed by the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Hassan Nadhem, participated in the meetings of the 24th session of the General Assembly," indicating that "Iraq won the position of Vice President of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization UNWTO."
According to the statement Nadhem affirmed that "Iraqi tourism will gradually recover through the cooperation with other ministries and the effort of the Ministry of Health to confront Corona virus."
