Salih and Zaidan stress importance resolving electoral appeals issue

 The President of the Republic, Barham Salih and the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, stressed the importance of resolving electoral complaints and appeals. 

And the media office of the President of the Republic stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, received the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, and during the meeting it was emphasized the importance of protecting the democratic path and constitutional contexts in resolving electoral complaints and appeals, taking into account the commitment of The utmost care and impartiality in deciding it, in a manner that enhances confidence in the electoral process to be a path and a peaceful option for the country." 

The statement added that "the importance of strengthening national cohesion, solidarity and dialogue was emphasized to discuss the expected national benefits, the most important of which is the formation of an effective government that protects the country's higher interests and responds to the people's aspirations to improve living and service conditions."
