Iranian television announced, on Sunday evening, the emergency closure of the Bushehr nuclear facility.
"The closure of the Bushehr plant began on Saturday and will last between three to four days," Gholam Ali Rakhshanimhr, an official with Iran's state electric power company, said on a talk show.
He pointed out the possibility of a power outage.
Rakhshanimhr did not give details, but this is the first time that Iran has announced an emergency shutdown of the station located in the southern port city of Bushehr.
