    The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Imad Jassem, revealed steps to revitalize the cinema sector in Iraq, while indicating work to produce distinguished cinematic works .

    Jassim told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The private cinemas are not closely related to the Ministry of Culture, but we have steps to revitalize the cinema sector in Iraq despite the absence of an adequate budget, especially for the cinema and theater department," indicating that "youth cinema production of the Iraqi film It is a matter of pride, and we have held several meetings with the stakeholders of the directors and have begun to overcome the difficulties to produce their work. "

    He added, "In the coming period, we will try to focus on producing distinguished cinematic works," noting that "we aspire to produce great cinematic films, because the cinematic reality in the Arab region in general suffers from problems due to modern technology."

    Jassim continued, "We seek to extend the roots of cooperation with all private cinemas that open, in addition to emphasizing the sober production by the Department of Cinema and Theater and overcoming all difficulties that hinder the work of cinematic films directed by young people whose work we follow carefully." To contribute with them at least in facilitating the filming operations at the Ministry's private websites and in the country in general.
