The Saairun Parliamentary Bloc, confirmed today, Friday, that there is a parliamentary authorization for Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi to choose a Minister of Health instead of the resigned Hassan Al-Tamimi, while it indicated that Saeron does not have a specific candidate.
The deputy of the coalition, Salman Al-Gharibawi, said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The resignation of the Minister of Health came as a humanitarian and moral initiative from him,” pointing out that “the investigative committee formed by the Cabinet’s decision did not condemn the Minister of Health, and his resignation came as a feeling of responsibility on his part after an accident.” Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital fire.
He added that "what Minister Hassan Al-Tamimi presented to the Ministry of Health is a good example that a former minister did not offer the same responsibility," noting that "we do not rule out that there will be pressure on the Minister of Health to submit his resignation."
Regarding the alternative names, al-Gharibawi said: "The Saairun Alliance does not have a candidate, and there is authorization for the prime minister to choose an alternative personality for the position."
He stressed that "we will go with the choice of any independent and impartial person who can promote the Ministry of Health."
