Mayor of Baghdad: 25 billion dinars to develop Al-Sadr City

    The Mayor of Baghdad, Architect Alaa Maan, announced today, Friday, the allocation of 25 billion dinars to develop the service reality in Al-Sadr City.

    A statement by the Baghdad Municipality received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that “Maan, during his visit to Square (55) at the entrance to Sadr City, and examining the reality of a number of main streets in the city, accompanied by the Baghdad Municipality’s Undersecretary for Technical Affairs, announced the development plan that includes a campaign of cladding a large number of streets Main and development of a number of residential sectors. "

    He added that he “thanked Parliament for their great role in allocating these sums within the 2021 budget  ,” noting that “the development campaign includes organizing street fronts and removing sidewalks in cooperation with shop owners through a wide educational campaign and finding alternative places for owners of rugs, as well as eliminating the phenomenon of breeding Livestock inside the city  . "

    He added that "the development campaign will be started after the Eid holiday, and as soon as the financial allocations arrive  ."
