The Ministry of Agriculture revealed today, Tuesday, its discussions with the Egyptian side and its plans to support farmers, while indicating that it had provided agricultural products to citizens at reasonable prices in light of the Corona pandemic.
The ministry's spokesman, Hamid Al-Nayef, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The visit of the Minister of Agriculture, Muhammad al-Khafaji to Egypt was successful and resulted in the beginning of real cooperation between Iraq and Egypt in all fields for the agricultural sector, both the plant and animal sectors, whether in the field of mechanization or information exchange operations. ".
He added that "there is no doubt that the Egyptian side deals with a vision of exchange and not investing in the desert in preparation for the advancement of the agricultural sector," noting that "the implementation mechanism depends on financial abundance through the budget that has not yet been approved."
Al-Nayef emphasized that "the ministry continues to support farmers and farmers in order to develop the agricultural sector, whether through seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and veterinary vaccines, in addition to feed," noting that "the ministry's plan depends on increasing support through an abundance of financial allocation."
